What a weekend!! Saturday was a big day for our family-Michael learned how to tie a tie for the first time all by himself (by watching a video online) and I was baptised & confirmed into the Catholic faith.
Here we are at home before going to a dinner party before the Easter Vigil Mass.

Auntie Keeks came down from Austin (still makes me smile that she's so close now) to stand in as my sponser/godparent (for Barb/Mimi) during the ceremony.

The Mass started at 7pm, which happens to be Tommy's bedtime and it lasted 3 hours!! Of course Tommy did great-he sang at the appropriate times and fought off sleep until we had about 15 minutes left.

I think Michael did a good job on his first tie!

It was a little unusual having to lean over while the priest poured the water over the backs of our head...I was the last one (there was three of us and then 4 kids followed), but I couldn't help but laugh-water was running everywhere and it was cold!!

Father McKenzie annointing me with oil (for protection against spiritual harm). I was most worried about this step because when Tommy was baptised, Father Dennis poured it over his head and it was in his hair for days...but we just had it signed over our forehead.

Here we are after the mass has ended with Tim, (one of our teachers and a really incredible person-his father is the other teacher), Ali & Tommalynn who I took the classes with. Ali is also our neighbor, good friend, her and her husband went to U of O and her husband is also a Marine pilot (small world).

One last family shot before taking Tommy home for bed (he passed out in the car-we have never seen him so tired!)

Easter morning-basket in sight, he's almost there...

Got it!

Reading his new book and playing with his new bits.

Easter dinner table almost set-the "joke" place setting was a project Ali told me Wyatt did at school-a little nest with a peep in it...pretty funny using a 4 yr old's project for our table, but it was fun :)

Tommy borrowed Avery's ears for lunch ( he just happened to take the longest nap of his life-2 1/2 hrs, guess he was still tired from yesterday).

Tommy telling Avery how pretty she looks in her first Easter dress and Avery asking Tommy why he is still in his pajamas at 4pm.

Avery is such a little doll-very dainty and so calm and nice...Tommy was just talking and waving at her, she just took it all in .

We had a great weekend, filled with a lot of excitement and joy. Big day tomorrow too-Tommy has his 9 month check up!
